There is a time of the month when ladies are a little more cranky than usual. Should this occur on the night of a full moon? Then werewolves beware. Ok, I'm not wishing to infer old 'Big Bad' was a werewolf, but it fits in nicely with the narrative of certains times of the month mean different things for different people.
